This Iranian actor, put on the index in Iran because she didn’t wear a hijab when she walked the red carpets in Hollywood, now lives in exile in Paris. This year, she plays with Sienna Miller in «Just Like a Woman» by Rachid Bouchareb, and in «Syngue Sabour» by the Afghani Atiq Rahimi, who adapted his Prix Goncourt winning novel (2008).

The image is ever-present in my mind’s eye these days. We are strolling and stepping over the old, pale, fall leaves besides a shallow river and you keep crying out cheering with a childish joy each time you see something. It makes me wonder if you’ve actually seen ‘Vincent’ behind the old walnut tree in front of us. A squirrel heads down the tree, stares at us, and keeps cracking a nut with no fear… It starts to rain, not a drizzle, but a heavy downpour. I say, “It seems a lost ocean is passing through the sky”. You respond, while seeking shelter under a walnut tree, “Don’t stray on the path of the lost things or you’ll be lost too”.
